Welcome To SAARC HALAL Council

The SAARC Halal Council is a leadership initiative of Halal India jointly with other Halal certifying bodies in the region (Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka). It is a non-profit organization created to uphold the integrity of the Halal market concept in the SAARC countries through recognition, mutual trade relations, membership and collaboration.

The cartel’s prime focus is that to bring cooperation among the Halal certification bodies, establish standard Halal processes, centralize connections among the regional and World Halal Certification authorities, food testing laboratories, trade organizations, Islamic scholars, Muslim and non-Muslim countries, And to promote business and trade opportunities for importers and exporters dealing in Halal products, including Small and Medium enterprises (SME’s) in the region.

SAARC Halal Council strives to bring to South Asian business community, a unique opportunity to access all important Halal business and trade related information for its members. It delivers the right information for each country based on the most useful categories for business decisions identified collectively by Halal importers, exporters and trade institutions across the region.
