About SAARC Halal Council:

Halal Certification authorities of aforementioned countries has created SAARC Halal Council, Mr.Mohamed Jinna has taken a leadership position and initiated this project, Keeping in view of halal trade & tourism, welfare of the people, peace, business growth and progress of South Asian region by fostering mutual understanding, meaningful cooperation and good neighbourly relations among these nations and promote halal friendly tourism, halal friendly medical tourism and halal food , cosmetics , logistics, pharmaceutical and interest free banking (Islamic Banking).

The SAARC Halal Council’s prime focus is that to bring closer co-operations among the halal certification bodies, establish standard halal processes and centralize connections among the SAARC Halal authorities and world halal certification authorities, halal associations, food testing laboratories , Islamic scholars, Muslim and non-Muslim nations and additionally connecting the B2B halal certified manufacturers and service providers at one place.

Following are the Halal Certification Authorities being active board members of the council.

Halal Development Council Pakistan,
All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, SriLanka.

In the careful review of current global logistics handling method on halal certified products (Meat & Food products), Many halal certification bodies expressed & highlighted that there are process gaps and space for food contamination with in non-halal food while it’s been transferred domestically or exported to other nation.

This concern has been raised in many global forums in the past, SAARC halal council has reviewed the current logistics processes and established a standard halal logistics methodology without any major changes on the current logistics handlings with minimum or no infrastructure changes to adopt the halal logistics processes worldwide and gain Muslims consumer’s confidence and trust.

Halal Logistics services will be legitimately enforced by Muslim nations (Middle East, African & South Asia Countries and Central Asia Counties) based on the current trend. These statistics has been provided by international media and related authorities.
